No one can quite pin down just what kind of bot Rackham is. He always says he's only happy when he's in battle, that he's otherwise a nasty piece of work to be around. That however, doesn't always seem to be the case. In fact, he often seems to be a rather content being. One could say he exaggerates how much he likes combat, and his dislike of idle peace. On the other side of the scale, he can sometimes appear to be driven by a lust for destruction in a battle situation while being agressive and foul natured outside of it. Appearing to be rather unbalanced mentally in this manner only creates further distrust and hatred from fellow LONAC members. This is something he's used to, having once been part of the pirate crew that attacked LONAC a number of times. Rackham wants to be with the best, and tends to hang around the more physically powerful members of LONAC. He loves his intoxicants, and can be spotted in the bar frequently, usually telling some wild exaggeration of a battle he took part in while with the pirate group.

While not the greatest warrior, he isn't one to be overlooked for a combat role. His tactics leave little to the imagination, preferring a simple 'charge in, shoot everyone' approach. While it doesn't always succeed, it usually causes enough of a distraction to allow his teammates to achieve other goals in a mission. He is armed with a pulse gun, which discharges a rapid fire of burning plasma. This weapon has a medium-to-long range, and if Rackham were to ever maintain aim at single target for more than a few seconds, he could cause serious damage with it. His alternate form is that of an amphibious assault vehicle. While in this form, he has a maximum land speed of 55kph and his armor plating is of average durability. He can maintain an equivalent speed beneath the water's surface as he can on land. He can only reach a depth of around 20 to 30 meters in this mode, and his pulse gun is mounted on top.

Rackham's vehicle mode is slow, and easy prey whether on land or in the water. He has average armor in both forms, and his strength and speed in robot mode are nothing to brag about either, despite his larger than average size. Some believe his mentality is the result of some form of split personality disorder, other think it is merely a ruse to cover some form of betrayal he has planned. The truth is that he is secretly addicted to syke, a Cybertronian drug, of which he carries around a large stash of in subspace. Despite his many downfalls, he is actually quite loyal to whichever group is with, though he'd likely never admit it. He has only ever left a group because they were either all killed, or they kicked him out.
