Hyperion is the result of the six Tactibots merging together. While he appears to be the same as any other gestalt warrior, he is actually quite different. Rather than Hyperion's mind being the combination of the six Tactibots, he infact has his own mind and spark. Once Hyperion was a great Autobot tactical expert, even greater than Novaburst, but was barely left alive from a devastating Decepticon attack. Optimus Prime, realising their lack of a gestalt against the Decepticon gestalts, and not wanting to lose Hyperion's tactical abilities, decided that the Tactibots and Hyperion would become a gestalt team.
With his own mind in combined form, Hyperion is able to attack effeciently, and without having to worry about competing minds like other gestalts. When in combat situations Hyperion will quickly and carefully analyse the situation, and take the best course of action from then on.
Hyperion is armed with Firestorm's flamers on his left arm, and Diablo's shoulder mounted plasma cannons. Hyperion is able to use the Tactibot's Spiderbots for reconaisance, being able to see the whole battlefield and what is happening in their location through their optical sensors.
